Leave The Porridge House and go back along Main Street. Turn left along the B7000 and after about 6 miles take L turn (B729). Keep on this road until Carsphairn. Here take the R fork and join the A713 (10 miles). At Dalmellington (19 miles) stay on A713 and after Patna turn R onto B730 (25 miles). Stay on the B730 through Littlemill and Drongan and at T with A70 turn R and shortly L onto B730 again.
Keep on A730 through Tarbolton (36 miles). At T with A719 turn R and in half a mile L ont B730 again. At X with A77 dual carriageway (Bogend) SO on B730 to X in Dundonald with A759 (43 miles). SO here under A71 dual carriageway into Dreghorn and at T turn L onto B7081 to Irvine centre.
In Irvine pick up NCN 7 through golf course and to B779. After bridge under A78 dual carriageway to Kilwinnig. Take Byre HIll Road to Stevenston (52 miles) following Grant Street to ferry terminal.
Catch 6 p.m. ferry to Brodick and from terminal turn L along A841 turning left into Strathwhillan.
