Leave Trevarick House and head east along the Pavement and continue out of the village along Stoke Road. After 2 miles turn L keeping Windmill Hill on the left. Follow the River Tone and at T turn L. At X turn R onto A361 to Othery (6.5 miles) keeping on A361 until Pedwell.
Take the L turn through Pedwell and at A39 turn L then immediately R to Shapwick. Carry on to Westhay and bear L on B3151 to Wedmore. Stay on B3151 entering Cheddar.
Turn R into Wedmore Road and join A371 briefly then turn L into B3135. Follow Cheddar Gorge (The Cliffs), staying on B3135 until bearing L onto B3371. SO at X with B3134 along uncl. road towards Compton Martin. At next X turn R and then shortly L and then SO at X with A368, avoiding West Harptree.
Join B3114 passing Chew Valley Lake along NCN 3. Enter Chew Stoke and at end of village take Pagan's Hill. At RAB take first exit onto B3130 and stay on B3130 through Winford to junction with A38. SO at X into Barrow Gurney into Wildcountry Lane
Cross railway and immediately take R turn at T through Long Ashton, following local cycle route 14 through Ashton Court Estate, emerging to cross A369 and join B3219 over the Clifton Suspension Bridge. Take first L into Clifton Down and cross A4176 to join Ladies Mile. At T turn L along Stoke Road joining NCN 4.
At X take R into Saville Road then L into Parry's Lane (B4054) then continue to follow NCN 4 along Reedley Road until it joins Stoke Lane. Cross A4018 keeping to NCN 4 and Stoke Lane and at RAB take B4055 briefly then R into Passage Road. Follow NCN 4 alongside A4018 the join Dragonswell Road and Monsdale Drive. Tunr L into Crow Lane (B4057) and shortly R into Standfast Road, becomes Tormaron Crescent. Take R turn onto Station Rd B4055, keeping along NCN 4 alongside dual carriageway secon ot A4018 (Cribbs Causeway) until Hollywood Lane.
Take Hollywoodd Lane under M5 motorway and turn R at T into Bowstreet Lane. At T tunr L onto B4055 through Easter Compton staying on B4055. In Pilning turn R towards Northwick and stay on NCN 4 through Old Passage (Passage Road) to the old Severn Bridge.
Cross the bridge by the cycle track and join Thornwell Road (becomes Bulwark Road) to T junction to A48 (Newport Road. Turn L into Upper Church Street and find The First Hurdle guest house.
