Leave the Red Lion and head East along the B3042 towards Tiverton. After 8 miles bear R onto a minor road (could be Sp Millbarn Cross, avoid bearing L toward Witheridge village) and then, 1.5 miles later, rejoin the B3042. Carry on into Tiverton (19 miles).
Head S along Leat Street, becomes West Exe Street. Turn L at RAB into Great Western Way and SO through next RAB. At next RAB bear R into Old Road. Join cycleway towards the Grand Western Canal and join towpath (21 miles) for about mile.
Leave canal onto Crown Hill into Halberton. Turn R at T and follow High Street to second R turn and in half a mile rejoin canal towpath into Sampford Peverell (25 miles). Keep on towpath (NCN 3) until 30 mile mark at Beacon Hill and rejoin minor road towards Greenham. Stay on NCN 3 through Langford Budville (34 miles) crossing B3187 into Nynehead (36 miles). Continue to follow NCN 3 through Bishop's Hull into Taunton (42 miles) and follow NCN 3 alongside the Bridgewater & Taunton canal to Creech St. Michael (47 miles).
Leave NCN3 joining St. Michael Road then Lipe Lane. After bridge take first L turn (Ham Road). L at T through Ham and Knapp then take L turn (Knapp Lane) to North Curry. In village centre find Trevarrick House (5, The Pavement). 50 miles.
